Georgia Grace is our beautiful daughter who inspires us every day to preserve our planet for future generations and appreciate the beautiful world we live in.
I really wanted to build a responsible, environmentally sustainable brand to be proud of, caring for our planet first and foremost, helping to support British jobs and industry, whilst continuing to learn and create better ways to live.
During the 2020 covid lockdown both my husband and I had our careers put on hold, a hold which lasted nearly 18 months. It was a scary time for us as it was for everyone else in the world. But, that said, the slower pace of life forced me to revisit my creative side and really notice the environment we are so blessed to live in. We noticed the huge increase in birds. We planted a wildflower garden and studied the bees and insects with Georgia, who is already more knowledgeable than both of us about their importance.
I worked hard on my own polo, pig, bee and racehorse designs, then turned some original leaf studies, painted by my very talented friend, Emily bodman, into overlapping patterns. i took time to build strong relationships with the very best quality British manufacturers with the same environmental ethos as me.
All products are made in the UK, in one place, limiting their carbon footprint. our beautiful fabrics are printed using environmentally friendly inks and sustainable materials. We use recycled/biodegradable packaging, no plastic. even our beautiful tissue paper is made from wood pulp, a bi product that is sustainably harvested with certification from the FSC.
We hope you love these ever-evolving collections as much as we do. none of it was easy, i hasten to add, but i’m so proud to have made a start and There is so much more to come. including more collaborations with other artists, celebrating the nature that surrounds us and the animals we share our precious planet with.
